Grade 4: Mandalas

In 4th grade, students are creating mandalas using radial symmetry. After looking at a variety of mandalas throughout history and across many different countries and cultures, student designed four thumbnail sketches of their own. They then chose one to enlarge (scaling up), using median folds and proportions. They are now adding either a cool color palette or a warm color palette using chalk pastel and water. They are amazing! I can't wait to see the finished result!
